| • Subsidized participation of the school’s
principal in the Twelfth Annual National Principals Leadership
Institute, July 11-18, 2009 in NYC |
| • An awards presentation by the United States
Department of Education at a special ceremony at Teachers College,
Columbia University in NYC on Monday, July13th |
| • Participation in a major national research
project focusing on school change |
Dr. Lew Smith, Founder and Director of PNSCA and the National
Principals Leadership Institute (NPLI), visits each winning
school with a local ceremony in May or June |
All 2009 finalists and winners will be recognized during
NPLI in a national awards ceremony, Monday, July 13, at Teachers
College, Columbia University. At the national ceremony, The
United States Department of Education joins us as we salute
the 15 finalists and six awardees. |
NPLI is an 8-day leadership development program which brings
together 250 educational leaders to New York from across the
United States and Canada. The 2009 theme is “Achieving
Equity and Excellence.” This summer, the Institute is
scheduled for Saturday July 11 through Saturday July 18, 2009.
